Education and Enlightenment

The Education and Enlightenment Committee was established by Sovereign Grand Commander, Terry A. McLean, 33°, as a Special Committee of our Supreme Council at the 2015 Annual Session.

This special committee has been tasked with providing increased education to Scottish Rite members across Canada. "The mission statement for the Education & Enlightenment Special Committee of the Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry of Canada is to provide a comprehensive and cohesive collection of Masonic educational tools to be published on our website and to be utilized in AASR Valley meetings and instructional workshops throughout Canada. The standardization of the valuable lessons, history and principles of our Rite will strengthen our communication and increase its availability to all members of our jurisdiction"

A National Education Zoom Event with

Brother Robert L. D. Cooper’s presentation of:
“Knights Templar; Rosslyn Chapel; and Freemasonry”

If you are a Freemason, you undoubtedly have at least a passing interest in (or perhaps even a passion for) the Knights Templar and Rosslyn Chapel in Scotland. Join us on Thursday, November 30th at 7:00 pm EST for an unforgettable presentation by Robert L. D. Cooper on these very topics.

Hosted by the Education & Enlightenment Committee of Supreme Council in Canada, ALL Masons are invited to attend. In fact, we encourage you to share this event with members from your Craft Lodge. They will be most welcome to join us for what will certainly be a fascinating presentation.

Brother Robert (Bob) L. D. Cooper is a prolific author and lecturer, and an expert on the Knights Templar and Rosslyn Chapel. A frequent guest on television and radio both in the United Kingdom and abroad, he held the position of Curator of the Grand Lodge of Scotland Museum and Library for many years. Bob has lectured in South Africa, India, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and frequently in the USA. He began online presentations during the pandemic, with a total number of virtual events now exceeding 250. The E&E Committee is thrilled to have such a noted and respected Mason as our first presenter for what is planned to be an annual event.
